we miss him

Now I remember why "less travel" was a big pro on the Doctor side of Doctor vs. Management Consultant list. I don't like when Forrest is gone. Even if he's not home to help, I still like knowing he's in the same city and having him come home to sleep in our bed.
He's been in Houston since Thursday for AMA stuff. He'll be home tomorrow night. In the meantime we've been watching way too many Movies/too much TV, reading way past our bedtime, a bit of crafting, a bit of sulking, not cleaning, eating cereal for every meal, and sending him pictures via the iPhone (That clever phone is even improving family relations).

title: we missed you at bath time
(when Audrie sees an accumulation of bubbles in the bath water, she plants her face right in the middle.)

title: good morning!
(my snuggle buddy for the last few nights)

title: i finished my cereal all gone

title: ca
spoken like a real New Yorker.

title: guess who pooped in the tub?

title: cute little snugglershe has the white-brow-furrow down

title: we're havin movie night
guess what we're watching? go ahead, just guess?
yep, toy story...again!

How do you single mommas, military wives, and loads-of-travelin-businessmen wives do it?
I'm going a little bit crazy.

I'm a single mommie right now, too. It stinks.

If he's in Houston have him give us a call!

Awww!! It must be hard for Forrest to be away from all that adorableness. I'm glad he's coming home soon!! (And cereal is fortified with vitamins and minerals, so I believe it to be a perfect breakfast, lunch, and dinner option.) :-)

I love those pictures! I love to send John picture texts, too. But seriously, I get my husband a ton compared to most people. You are a trooper!

dread. don't remind me what it's like to be married to a businessman. i don't know if i'm a strong enough woman to be a single parent to two children for 80% of the week. your kids look clean and happy... i'd say you're a pro.

cute pictures... i need an iphone. need.

I think you're doing great! I usually call and whine. :)

And why do kids always poop in the tub when dad is out of town?! for the love!

I know, I don't know how those amazing women function! I guess there's a reason Jeremy isn't in those professions (he would have a clinically insane wife).

Have a happy reunion!

I'm a military wife and it's not easy being left alone with or without kids. I'm on my 3rd week for this current training and he's out of the country, but video chat has made it so much easier. You are doing a great job. Whether it's a couple days, weeks, or months, it's just really hard when your other half isn't there to help or just get a hug and kiss from. Like you always say, You can do hard things! ;)

My husband travels on a weekly basis, but it sounds like you've got it down: cereal for every meal and relaxing of the structure. Hey, a sane mommy is much better than the alternative, right? Hang in there!
